The badge design was introduced after 1901. This particular version of the badge is a chrome one-piece design that was issued much later.
Force History: Established 1839. 16 May 1975 Became part of Strathclyde Police
The Kings Crown was worn from 1902 until 1953, thereafter badges bear the Queens Crown.
